Twelve (2010) [Blu-ray]
Drama | Thriller

Money to burn. Time to kill. Everything to lose.

When you're this filthy rich, it's hard to get clean. Hollywood's hottest young stars deliver gripping performances in this suspenseful urban crime thriller. White Mike (Chace Crawford) is a young drug dealer straddling the mean streets of Harlem and the party palaces of upper Manhattan. Mike's double-life comes crashing down when a highly addictive new drug called "twelve" hits the streets, unleashing a shocking wave of passion and violence. Costarring Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Emma Roberts and Ellen Barkin and directed by Joel Schumacher (Batman & Robin, A Time to Kill), this adaption of Nick McDonell's acclaimed novel will leave you wired and breathless.

There are not many films that are worth watching in Joel Shumacher's catalog. Maybe Tigerland is his best film, and that's just worth a casual watch. He will always be the man who killed the Batman franchise for more than a decade. After his last film Blood Creek was released in a handful of theaters it went straight to DVD. As I'm sure Twelve will.

The reviewer went on to add this film was a Sundance selection therefore it would "must have exceptional parts". I think the reviewer must not watch many films to come out of Sundance. Every year there are good/great films to come out of the festival, but far more bad films are also unleashed on this world from the very same festival.

If you have seen any teen drug films then you have seen this one. Only this is one of the bad ones. STAY AWAY!!!

Summary: Joel Shumacher is the Uwe Boll of Hollywood.

[CSW] -2- No real plot. No real acting. No real reality. No real meaning. A little eye-candy people. That's it.
[V4.0-A4.0] MPEG-4 AVC - No D-Box.
